Challenge Butterflydream

I wrote this last Fall.. However ,I wanted to share it with all of you as the Fall season is upon us..... Hope you enjoy the poem.

For my friends and anyone else who experiencing constant pain and challenges especially more so this time of year, know that my thoughts are with you.


Reflections of an colorful season.

A beautiful time of year,
the sun shines brightly
while feeling a slight breeze on my back
Colors of red, yellow,
gold and orange on the trees
Apples and fresh vegetables being sold,
The aroma of freshly baked apple and pumpkin pies.
fill the kitchen with their warmth
Eating roasted pumpkin seeds
Sharing a cup of tea and/or lunch with
of my "sisters of the heart"
Spending time with others that I love
and hold dear to my heart., What
could be better than time with friends
and family as we celebrate the turn in seasons.

The nights become cooler and more crisp .
Taking a stroll to clear ones mind or just to get some air.,
listening to the crunch of the leaves under one's
wheels or under feet as you move about.
Soft blankets, cozy fire places,
comfy sweaters help to keep the chill out,
A bit of frost takes its place on the window sill
as apple cider is warmed and poured we all wonder
what this colorful season has it store?

Thinking about the opportunities that could be on
the other side of the door or could it be the season
to find a new friend, your true love
or discover a new passion?
what lessons are to be learned
with the many challenges to be endured
The many blessings not yet known to be given,
Prayers heard but yet to be answered.

Whatever this season holds , may it include
happiness love, joy friendship and serenity.

To those of you who have given me the gift of true friendship and Unconditional support, it means the world to me especailly now when the challenges seem constant and up hill, It is great to know that I have people in my life that I can count on for a laugh, words of wisdom and encouragement and to remind that I can meet the challenges currently before me.

I enjoy working with children, arts and crafts projects, helping people to smile and laugh. I also enjoy watching dancing especially ballet, figure skating and gymnastics....... Ever since I was a very young child, I always wished I could be a dancer, gymnast or figure skater.......

I enjoy writing poetry..... I also enjoy listening to a variety of music. I really enjoy listening to online stations whenever possible. A few I enjoy listening to are: www. Absolutelyradiobug.net, Zanderfax Radio as well as 40+stillrockin................

I like most animals especially horses, dolphins, butterflies, labrador and golden retrivers and seal pups I  enjoy going horse back riding and swimming when possible, although I have not been swimming in a couple years, horseback riding in several years. But hope to get back into both sometime soon...   

I am at kid at heart as I enjoy collecting Mickey and Minnie mouse as well as  Tweety bird memorbelia    I also have quite a collection of angels and stuffed animals especially teddybears/ In my book there is always room for another teddy bear..... 

I enjoy being outside when weather permits Especially in the Spring, summer and fall when it is easier to navigate around,.....

  I access life from a seated position and have physical challenges .... Although, I need assistance with some daily tasks, I am independent and can do many things on my own.... 
I do  not drive a car or own one, if my destination is within a short distance, I drive myself to my destination in my wheelchair. Otherwise I use public transportation and or go places with family and friends in their cars.

I enjoy traveling whenever possible to visit friends and family..... When and if the chance to do so comes to be,, I also enjoy visiting different states and the different adventures and attractions they have to offer.

Often,  I enjoy cooking while trying and creating new recpies.  I eat healthy most of the time because I want to and also due to my diabetes which I pretty much manage myself with the help of health professionals......

Along  with making  friends, I  hope to  cross paths  with a special man who hopefully, over time  will  become my best friend/ life partner who is honest, emotionally available,sincere, trustworthy, respectful, faithful, sincere, patient, and loving with a good sense of humor. A man who accepts me for the person that I am while being willing to grow with me in friendship and enventually grow together in love as well...

A man who takes the time and has the time to put into a relationship ........ A man who is genuine and respectful both online, on the phone and in person..
A man who has a good head on his shoulders and is who he says he is...
I have great respect for people who honor and keep their word and commitments that they make to me and others...

I have been always interested in adopting a child or children someday as I was adopted. also, am unable to have children of my own........ If the man for me, already has children,, I would welcome him and his children in to my life.
I enjoy taking strolls hand in hand with that special someone as well as cuddling and watching the sunset...........

I do not tolerate lying, cheating mind games, scammers, or people who leave me in endless limbo or take advantage of me or others.
I am not into the bar scene.....
I am not looking for a man who is a player or who just wants a bed mate. I believe that there is a lot more to a meaningful relationship then just being bed mates.
