Good conversation

New for me is web surfing..love all the info at the touch of ones finger tips. I enjoy sightseeing, exploring new places and going down the rarely traveled road for a "look see". I find good conversation and laughter a excellent basis for any relationship and a requirement for lasting ones.

I thank a very Special Friend for "What Dreams May Come".....

A Bitch some call me.... Why? Seems I've become someone not inclined to take the easy path. I've become my own person the hard way and I now see bullshit for what it is and have little or no tolerance for such. I hold honesty, accountability, ethics, and integrity of myself and others as a true mark of a person's worth.

I'm up-front and open about all aspects of my life, you ask me a question and I will answer with no varnish or embellishment added. I've not been one that's learned "Life's Lesson's" the easy way and I've made many bad choice's and mistakes in my life, tho I hope I've learned from some of them. I know I've learned to stand up for myself and what I believe in even if it causes fiction. I can disagree with someone and hold no grudge for another holding their ground. I no longer see wrong and look the other way and pretend it was never there, for I found doing so creates a hole in ones soul that grows with each injustice one commits or ignores.
I now speak my mind and have my "own" opinions and no longer blindly follow another. I will not compromise my self-worth to be popular to make or keep friends for in doing so I will lose myself.

I've made the mistake of not telling people who I loved and cared for how I felt, for some time has taken that choice from me. But from the pain I've learned to no longer add to the time's lost but count the times gained, by giving the words some want and need to hear. Some take in and accept, others don't, but I know I will no longer have regrets of love not spoken. I have learned I have no control over other people only myself, a lesson I still find hard to follow as I try and avert loved ones from the same path of mistake's I've taken. I have to continually remind myself that we all have our own lesson's in life and some are only learned through pain. I have inflicted hurt to others with action's and word's and carry deep regrets for doing so. Others can and do forgive but it's forgiving myself I find hard to do.

I've learned life is about love, love of family, love of friend's and love of self. Out of those three the last is the most important, because if you can't love yourself it builds a wall around your heart and it excludes the other two. Finding love in this state, it's as crippled as the person is inside, one cannot ask for something they are not willing to give themselves. Love starts inside and expands outward, it doesn't come from "others", only from within. You have to love, respect and be happy with yourself before anyone else truly can.

I've learned to never compromise who I am or what is right, to keep my self-worth and just be me. I'm either excepted or rejected ....but at least it's for who I truly am.

QUOTES

A friend who is far away is sometimes much nearer than one who is at hand. Is not the mountain far more awe-inspiring and more clearly visible to one passing through the valley than to those who inhabit the mountain?
~Kahlil Gibran

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”
~Albert Einstein

Like the bee gathering honey from the different flowers, the wise person accepts the essence of the different scriptures and sees only the good in all religions.
~Gandhi

I don't need a friend who changes when I change and who nods when I nod; my shadow does that much better.
~Plutarch

The nature of God is a circle of which the center is everywhere and the circumference is nowhere. ~Empedocles

HEAVEN AND HELL, THE REAL DIFFERENCE

A man spoke with the Lord
about heaven and hell.

The Lord said to the man,
"Come, I will show you hell."

They entered a room where a group of
people sat around a huge pot of stew.
Everyone was famished, desperate and starving.

Each held a spoon that reached the pot,
but each spoon had a handle so much
longer than their own arm that it could not
be used to get the stew into their own mouths.

The suffering was terrible.

"Come, now I will show you heaven,"
the Lord said after a while.

They entered another room, identical to the first,
the pot of stew, the group of people, the same long-handled spoons.
But there everyone was happy and well-nourished.

"I don't understand," said the man.
"Why are they happy here when they were miserable
in the other room and everything was the same?"

The Lord smiled.
"Ah, it is simple," he said.
"Here they have learned to feed each other."
