I am an avid player of the game World of Warcraft. I guess that is my escape. I also am an artist and am writing a book telling about my accident and what followed. The book is not finished but is well on its way. The title, Tragedy with a Smile.
Movies I Like
Anything with Edward Norton. Especially Fight Club & American History X. A Perfect World, Twilight although the book was way better. Theres more but too many to list.
Music I Like
I like a wide range of music. Just about every genre. Anything from Bach to A perfect Circle to the Dead Milkmen. My favorite band is Evanescence. Amy Lee is phenominal
Books I Like
The whole Twilight Series. I hated that it had to end. Books about Vampires, Lycans, Faeries, etc.
Things I Don't Like
Selfish people. Liars and Cheaters. I guess I am a scorned woman, lol.
I am the girl that makes everyone laugh and I am the girl that wears my heart on my sleeve, even though I wish I didn't.
I am a writer, an artist and a poet and my art came to me in the form of a brain injury. I guess I got lucky with that one. That however is not my disability.
My disability came after a head on collision. A man that was not supposed to be driving because he suffered from narcolepsy hit me and my kids head on going 95 mph. It has been 8 years and I have improved vastly but am still in a wheelchair. My legs work they just won't work standing, lol. In other words, I can't walk but am not paralyzed. Don't let the chair fool you though. I can do everything everyone else can except for the walking part.
Hello Tragedywasmile, Don't feel like you're alone with they neurological problems. I have uncontrolled epilepsy, but don't think that I am the one who crashed into you because I never could drive. My legs are also a little messed up but that was because of my seizures that caused some other types of accidents. One of my feet is partially artificial so running and long walking is not on my list. I'm 47 and am from San Diego which is best for me since I can't drive so that I don't get stuck out in the rains or snows while trying to walk or hitch-hike to wherever. The bus system has been rude to me in the past having thrown me off a few times in the worst of neighborhoods because of my seizures, so hitch-hiking in a suit is how I sometimes get around but my girlfriend usually does the driving. I'm also into art - oil painting, but that ole figure of speech "starving artist" is no figure of speech. I have sold quite a few paintings, but no way could I survive on them alone!!! Jeff

thats cool about your son. nice seats too. well, im not a real big reader. never have been. a couple of years ago i started reading carl sagan. i read about three of his nonfictions during the spring. that was definitely the most ive read in my life on my own inclination. he was an astrophysicist at cornell university. he writes about religions and human nature. thats not exactly the best description, but the best i can do without reading them egain. i really couldnt tell you my favorite band. i like so many. i dont think i could tell you my favorite genre. rock is the most consistant, but i go through phases. plus, half of the music i listen to youve never heard of. they are bands that play in college bars. at this point in my life im listening to 80s bands. hair bands and all. all-time though: tool, huey lewis, bon jovi, skid row, journey, whitesnake, cinderella, blink 182, driving-n-crying. . . plus more. i could never pick just one. i guess it would be highly unlikely either one of us would be able to know if we have a lot in common or not just by a small list of likes and dislikes. especiallly talking for one day. we have similar interesta, so far.

Heya,
Not much happening. A pretty mundane Sunday so far. My sons favorite band is tool and he just saw them here in concert, front row. I was pretty jealous, lol. I think I like APC more than tool though. Yes, I have seen Boondock Saints. Awesome movie! I will read anything I can get my hands on but my favorite things to read usually include vampires and lycans, faeries, etc. Gotta add romance in there too.
Yea, we do have a lot in common, lol. What is your favorite things to read about and who is your all time favorite band?
