Hi!  I have had some degree of success with glucosamine to help with joints.  I also had a pet with severe arthritis in his knee/hip, and the vet prescribed a daily dose of glucosamine powder to help him -- it actually did help a bit. :)  It's not the most perfect thing in the world, but can help with flexibility, which in turn helps with pain.

I have MCTD (RA.lupus.raynauds,myositis,sorgen's) double scoliosis ,spondyolitis, stenosis. No FM here. I can't exercize to much because of paraplegia in my legs ,mild in arms and my hands and sight is bad.

I can't see my GP or RD because the co pay is 250. 00 a visit until my share of cost is covered. So soon I'll be out of my meds. I should have medicare in a year or so but with several of my joints going to bone on bone ,plus my spine causing a lot of nerve compression I may have to a few joint replacment s by that time or sooner.

I miss being active . I use to go to the gym 4 to 5 times a week . But I worked as a model then and had to be under a 110 lbs and healthy looking. But times have changed me but I miss it so much.

Right now the pain is very difficult to deal with and topical creams don't help me.  I guess I'll have to find a way to deal with it.

Daylight,

Not knowing what your joint pain is coming from it's hard to give you any suggestions.

IT would be best to consult you Primary physician to see what the diagnosis is.

I know with degenerative joint disease, arthritis and other things such as fibromyalgia excercise regularly and keeping the mind busy is key here, I am not suggesting this works for everyone but it allowed me to make "friends" with a great deal of pain..

Be well, keep the spirit and Enjoy ohyojj~
