I never thought I would live to be 60 years old yet here comes another birthday Jan. 14.  When I broke my neck in 1966 the doctor told me that I didn't have very long to live.  It was obvious that he really didn't know what the Hell he was talking about.  I might have taken better care of myself if he would told me that I would have lived this long.

On August 7th, 1966 4 of us kids ran an intersection and were broad sided by a old man.  I was sitting in the back seat of an 1956 Ford.  The front end of his car hit right where I was sitting pushing me up & out the back window.  The three of them were walking around looking for me after the dust settled.  They found me laying face down in a ditch of dirty rain water.  Someone pulled me out just as I was taking my last breath.

The car in front of ours saw what happened and came back to help.  It was a rural setting so the ambulance got lost, couldn't find us at first.  When it finally came my blood pressure was Like 50/30. when I got to the hospital they started to cuty clothes off, I started to freak out, yelling at them to stop, what was I wear home. ....

The last thing I remember was them drilling holes in the top of my head.
