Designing Your Profile
The, ‘Design My Profile,’ Settings
Using the, ‘Design My Profile,’ Settings
Each of the Design My Profile settings works in the same way. You have the option to click on, ‘Select Colors,’ in order to choose a color for each of the options in your profile. When you click on, ‘Select Colors,’ a box with a series of color options will appear. You can click on the color you want the setting to be. Once you have finished selecting colors for each option, Save your profile settings and your profile will appear with the colors you have chosen.
An example of the settings in the, ‘Design My Profile,’ settings area is the, ‘Background Color,’ setting.
On the left side is the name of the setting. Next to it is a colored box showing the current color of the setting. There is a link that states, ‘Select Colors,’ which you can click on that will bring up a box filled with colors for you to select from. Next to the, ‘Select Colors,’ link is another box that is often filled with numbers, letters or you may choose to make the selection transparent. If you are familiar with hexadecimal, you may choose to fill in the corresponding hexadecimal value for the color you want. It is easier to click on, ‘Select Colors,’ in order to choose the color for the setting.
The, ‘Background Image,’ Setting
The, ‘Background Image,’ setting is a unique setting because it allows you to upload a background image from your computer at home to use as a background in your profile. The image you can upload will be used in a, ‘Tiled,’ manner – meaning that the image must be small, only about 89k or smaller. The image will be repeated across the background of your profile, and is more pleasing to the eye than a solid color background sometimes.
Background Image: Uploads image from your computer onto your profile background. No bigger than about 89k or so.
