Bob,

Hey there, I just read over the comment again and what I should have said was, no I really haven't had a bad 9 years in general. I'm the eternal optimist. The glass is half full girl. Yes I'm adjusting, no it's not always easy but for the most part I have a wonderful group of children who are grown, yet they are very supportive. Sometimes I get kind of down but it never last. I'm a happy person by nature and, I am used to helping others a great deal, I still help but not in the way I used to. Now I have to focus on myself too much! You know like how will I get this done. I always am reminded however, that it is worse for others sometimes, so I count my blessings. My disablity is what they call hidden, but it is a part of who I am now. I would never want to sound whiney, you know. I just really went to partime 4 years ago. So I do feel blessed!

Jonah,

In truth I have been trying to come to terms that changes in my health  status have caused me to be able to function less than 100 percent. Now I am still learning how to deal with my limaitations and find aceptable countermeasures.  The very things I used to teach others as a former Independent Living Advisor, I am now applying to my real life. I truly beleive we are only limited by our imagination and inner drive. As far as what happened exactly? Working over 80 hours every two weeks for a non-profit agency for people with disabilities, and while  moonlighting@ a mental health facility, helping extended family, and forgetting to take very needed medications. It will get you into serious trouble healthwise.  I cannot go into specifics yet. Disclosure  in that way is not as comfortable for me as it may be to some. But maybe i'll get there. Time wise with regards to length of disability is debateable. Officially I would say since the early 2000's. It all seems new to me.  Or maybe i'm beginning to really embrace it. And one sometimes lead to another. Hope that somewhat answers you question. I'm kind of private. Thanks for asking though.

Hi,

Okay I will keep that in mind about the offer of a guide. So tell me what are the accomodations for people with disabilities like in London? I get around considerably well. I walk very well, I'm not very good with great distances. So tell me do they have rentable assistive devices available easily if you need to rent a scooter or those little motorized chairs etc. It's funny how one minute in your life you pretty much take simple things for granted and then all of a sudden your level  of comfort calls for taking into account those very things.

Hey there,

Ohhhh! okay got it about the english winter. No i haven't been to Englanf before. My father was stationed there a couple of times, once before I was born, and later when I was in high school. My mom was kind of burnt out on traveling, so we didn't go with him. He loved it though. Thanks for explaining it to me.

Hello Jonah,

What is considered an English Winter? You mentioned this in your about me section.
